So is there a way to sell insurance without talking to people that arnt actually interested?

Sounds like he does not want to sell. And or sucks at selling.

I am the same. I have sold. And can still be fairly good at selling in short burst. But I just don't want to any more.

I think it is Bob that talks about the low hanging fruit.

That's me. Where I want to be. An order taker.

However, it took a lot of selling and servicing to have an inventory, low hanging fruit, to pick from.

If it were as easy as getting lisensed this month and people calling you next month with bank account info in hand a caveman could do it. For $15 an hour.

Everyone wants to be a gangster, until it is time to do gangster shit.

My idea of selling isn't doing outbound calls to people who dont want to buy insurance. Is there a way to take a call from serious people and just facilitate them through the process to the best option for them? I cant stand this power selling take control of the call b.s.

Look up a guy named Chris Westfall. He has about as close to that model as I’ve seen. He does mostly Medicare and has employee/agents that do all the initial phone call with prospects. They only pass the call on to him when they have someone ready to buy now.

Very smart system.

You can always recruit a downline and then suggest to them that "being a product of the product" will make them sell more. Bonus points if you can also sell them a monthly online access subscription, and make them pay for training/marketing materials as well as seminars, conferences and annual conventions!

That sounds good and all, but I like my soul :goofy:

Yeah, I think I'll be diving deep into online lead generation. I'm even thinking once I have a decent site and get it ranked I'll go into building sites for small business owners like tradesmen etc here in maine.

Feldman was the best.

He didn’t look like a salesman. He looked more like a gnome--short and stooped, pudgy and balding, with eyelids so droopy he appeared half-asleep.

He didn’t sound like a salesman. He talked softly, hesitantly, with a lisp. Sometimes he just sat there, blinking, and said nothing.

The Death--and Inspiring Life--of an Extraordinary Salesman : Motivation: It's not Ben Feldman's fault that life insurance isn't universal. It's just that he didn't have time to sell to everyone.
But even then he is going to have to deal with rejection as soem people will say "NO"... :spinny:

I got really really good at getting referrals. Not just asking my clients if they knew someone that wanted insurance, but developing a system and working up to it. I got really good at this. Then, I went to payroll specialists, health agents, accountants, etc. and shared this system with them. Now they send me people interested in insurance, on top of all the referrals I'm getting. If an easy sale is known as "low hanging fruit" then this is what I have...
