I need clear and direct answers please.. I have being trying to get a release from this FMO ( Applied General Agency- AGA) since October. I have been unsuccessful and was forced to do a delayed release with each carrier which will not go into effect until 4/10. Long story short they have been emailing about another issue which I have totally ignored every single email due to them making my AEP hell.. Long story short now there emails have become threatening stating - Failure to respond may result in agent presentation to the Agent Review Board for termination due to non response! I want to be rid of them sooner than later but I guess if I let them terminate me will that affect me directly from going direct with the carriers?? Which I planned on doing 4/10 anyway thru the delayed release or would the termination speed up the process?

What issue are they referring too for you to respond to? lol Termination means nothing as your already terminating them . Your spat with them as zero to do with carriers . What's the significance of 4/10? Is that the 6 month mark from when you filed to be released? Why did you leave them ? . I just looked . They're owned by integrity . I reading more and more some integrity fmo's won't release

This is AGA out of California. So 4/10 is the date the carriers say I can be released to go direct. Since AGA did not give me a release I had to go thru the carriers to obtain it which is 90 days from the requested date. I could not request the release during 10/1-12/1 due to this so called black out period.Yes your correct I'm terminating them but it won't be effective til 4/10. So I'm asking say they terminate me Friday (AGA) will that speed up the process to go directly with each carrier? And what happens to my commission payments I'm expecting from the carriers for 3/1 effective dates MAPD plans? I'm already getting paid directly from the carriers AGA IS just my FMO on file

AGA gets my overrides of course but the carriers pay me directly in my bank account
Your pay has nothing to do with the fmo as you get paid directly . Aga will continue overriding all your renewals even after you leave as long as that policy wrote under them stays active . When you rewrite the client the new plan goes under your new fmo for overrides .

So even ( Example)….. AGA terminates me this Friday as an agent under them. I can still enroll and get my pay directly from the carriers? Is that what you're saying?

Or if I'm terminated this Friday and I sold a policy today will the carrier still pay me directly?

Yes when you terminate a contract you still get paid. Unless you are termed for cause.
If you are leaving behind debts is the main reason you would be termed for cause and lose your commissions.
