Things Written on Lead Cards

I watched some training video with an oriental girl doing door knock training where your supposed to leave it running, to imply 'this is a delivery', so I've actually been doing that...

I should say, to this thread, when I get off putting statements scrawled on the lead card, I do a little computer magic to erase them and then reprint that lead...nice...

Recently had one that said "Please do not try to call or ring my doorbell", which I played with a bit to read "Please try to ring my doorbell"...lol

She was less than impressed with my computer erasure skills, and actually surprised, said that she writes that on all the cards she sends in....so I asked her to stop sending in those cards, you're wasting the time and money of real people with real obligations and folks who really do want and need coverage.

I've never had anyone call me out on that before, apparently she's a serial mailer who writes that crap on all the cards she sends in.

She also said she had family over...yeah, no cars in the driveway, no noise inside, no nosey son or daughter in law coming to the door "Yes mamn, I noticed the invisible jet parked in the yard, you must be related to Wonderwoman...quit lying and wasting people time."

I used to get lead cards that had already been worked by my manager. Didn't take me long to leave when I'm reading cards with his notes all over them.

I know what company you used to be with and it wasn't LH but kinda.

When I was with LH my manager would work the leads first and then send them to his downline agents if there was no business there.

He didn't have a GPS so he would use marquest to map out his route. he would write the directions in pencil on the lead card. If he didn't sell it then he would erase the directions.

Of course you could still see it but he would deny that he wrote it on there. Must have been the mailman?:D

I figured I'm not the only one who gets lead cards back that have some of the weirdest or eye opening things written on them.

I was just going through the 60 leads I received from 360 and one of the lead cards says in the spot for spouse "Divorced, incarcerated for Murder."

Like I really needed to know your ex killed somebody. Wouldn't no info there have been sufficient or perhaps just stating "Divorced?"

So, any one care to share some of the weird things on lead cards they've gotten?

Got one on a med supp lead card that says, on line asking to check if they want info...

"She has been dead for 23 years. Sure if you can Insure the dead."

Husband filled in DOB and everything...:swoon:

I had similar, he didn't write it in the card, but when I went out there he gave me an ear full, mom has been dead for 10 years or something..

I told him these lists are updated regularly, and it's against mail list policies to use their list more than 3 months or something....There must be either a piece of property or a bill that's still in her name.

This guy was a perfect candidate for squatting on mom's acreage and keeping in her name to avoid property taxes...he was noticeable less agitated after I mentioned property still in her name.

I told him I'd inform my company to inform their vendor she no longer exists, and had him agree to put any more junk mail in her name in the trash

It's not in the mail house best interest to waste money and mail a bad name and address...at the rate people move and die, it dosnt take long for a list to get stale.
Emphasized again, "they aren't making names up, your mom's name is on some sort of official list somewhere with this address, and it is within the past year buddy"

In addition to squatting on her property, I wouldn't doubt he was still getting her ssi check...she's probably buried on the back side of the property
