I use win flex every day, it is indispensable.
I only have a couple minor issues:
- advanced illustrations are not always possible. For example if I quote a policy with loan and want to illustrate interest payoff only instead of premium pay, net, I'll have to submit to the carrier rep. These are few and ar between, though.
- not all carriers participate. If you really want to be thorough you may have to run illustrations in win flex AND on a couple different carriers software (for me its Hartford and Guardian).
-help isn't the greatest. If you are running a new/fringe product like Moneyguard or Genworth TermUL, some fields may be redundant, unclear, or buggy and built in help is not useful.
Marpol did an excellent job of describing WinFlex Web and why it is animportant tool for any producer in the Life Insurance brokerage marketplace. Kudosto Marpol!
To summarize, unlike Compulife or iPipeline's Term and UL quoting systems(Ebix also has term and UL quoting systems that are integrated with WinFlex), WinFlexWeb is a wrapper around the carrier calculation engines and as a result producescompliant illustrations that can be submitted as part of the applicationprocess and will be introducing 'Buy Now' eApply functionality later this year.So there is no need to go to each individual carrier home office system to runillustrations, WinFlex does that for you from one piece of software and neverrequires you to run an update. It getseven better; WinFlex Web is also free to the users, as it is a carrier sponsoredapplication so you can register at: winflexweb.com and get started today.
Note: Next week, we are releasing WinFlex Mobile Beta which is designed for tablets and will work on any browser, operating system or device. If you have any questions or would like to be part of the Beta, please contact Mark Krantzat: mark.krantz@ebix.com.
