Safe to assume that the new UHC / AARP med supp "SmartEnroll" will not be a true e-app?

The flyer they sent out wasn't clear... but knowing UHC they'll still want some kind of stylus signature...

Anyone know anything different?

That's exactly how I read it. Their website says nothing different.

I did my first MAPD with them yesterday, it's so hard to tear the pages out of that enrollment booklet. I was struggling to do it w/o tearing the whole page, so irritating that I almost don't want to write them again. Anyhow, Im all for an E-app from UHC, although Im guessing this is just for the medsupp.

I spend a couple hours at the beginning of AEP tearing those applications out of the booklet. I probably throw away about 1/3 of them with torn pages. So fricken stupid they can't either make apps separate or easier to use. They should call Coventry/Aetna and see how they do theirs.

You can do an electronic app for MA right now by using a signature pad on a laptop. But you can't print out a copy so I find it next to worthless.

The UHC Med Supp tool will be accessed via the portal, as it does today. I heard that UHC is upgrading the current tool to give folks (like myself) the ability to enroll via an ipad. Also, I heard they made it easier to use as a rate quoting tool too. I'll be checking it out so I don't have to bother with paper apps anymore.

If they would simply let you print a copy off the ienroll then I think we would all use it, this is why I use paper and fax them in, not taking chances.

I too spend a long time ripping apps out at the beginning of aep or I pay kids to do it.

Could not agree more. Their Med Supp applications for 2015 are very difficult to tear out of the booklet.

I printed MS application from UHC portal. Filled in agent info. Made 100 copies. Done. Those who are having a hard time ripping the pages out of the kit- really? I mean, really?

I do that same thing. I save them as a pdf and print as needed. Usually about 135 per week.

But then I don't work fulltime.
