What age were you when you decided to go independent in insurance ?

Did you find any limitation at the age you decided to make the move?

I went indy for the final time when I was about 45. But I had been indy in another industry for about 10 years prior.

The only limitation as far as age was not qualifying for either student nor a senior discount.

I don't think it's a matter of age, but perhaps a matter of personal circumstances: single, married, married with kids, divorced with kids, hobbies and everything else going on in life. I have some friends that work just as hard at age 60 as they did when they were 21 and hungry. Good question.

What does age have to do with it? A better question is how much experience did you have before you went INDY?

I went Indy at age 27. 5 and a half years in the captive world for me was more then enough. I am happy with the move and intend to stay there.

Not so much a concern with age just more curious.

I agree experience is more important but I think that has been asked and answered a few times since I've been part of this forum.
