what's the deal with maternity?

GR was the conversation - referrenced by Bob as to the plan that he recommended in Georgia. I continued with the Golden Rule theme by stating that I don't believe in limited coverage for maternity.

You chimed in with a blanket and generic statement about plans covering complications still under the Golden Rule theme.

I then asked how complications were handled in GR as stated in the policy to which you likely took a dump in your pants since you had no clue.

Now you want to play a "Bill Clinton" game with me with this inane "well define what the word "it" means then fine.

You missed your calling - politics is calling for you. And if you want to go toe to toe with my health insurance knowledge then the cliche is "you know where to find me."

What are you, dyslexic or somethin'?

The conversation (if you go back and read it) was IFP maternity benefits in Florida. Bob's opinion is great...if you're in Valdosta, Georgia.

The guy was talking about FLORIDA. Are you not able to read the very first post of the thread?

"Blanket and generic statement about plans..."

Go back and read the posts.

I specifically listed the best ifp maternity alternatives in Florida.

Guess what? Golden Rule's not in there!

Have you got your transcript ready?

Here in Oklahoma Assurant/time has a great maternaty benefit, its just a bit expensive. Where BCBS requires a 365 day waiting period, assurant requires only a 90 waiting period which is always nice. As a newbie I'm just kinda curious, is this the same in many states??
Also, have any of you ever raised the Assurant maternity deductable to 10,000 and then added gap insurance to cover the 10,000??? I know that quite a few guys around here do this and it significantly lowers the maternity cost.

I think that the only gap plan that offers coverage for maternity in this area is Fidelity Security Life but I'm not sure.

I didn't mean to sway off subject, I'm just curious as to whether or not this is a feasable option. thank you

The waiting periods you speak of in the great state of Oklahoma...

'til birth, or 'til conception?
