OP. You still have not mentioned anything about the design of the product.
And doing months of work before getting paid is how this side of the business works. Quick commissions are how Term & FE works.
Total first month combined comp should be around or slightly over $2k based on the premium you mentioned. (assuming the policies are designed correctly).
Yet you are worried about a $3k advance and want to move IMOs because of it.
Now maybe your current IMO is not well suited for this type of case. And THAT is a reason to change IMOs. But an advance is the LAST reason you should change IMOs on a case like this.
It may not seem like it at times, but the comp will work itself out. Ive never once regretted going As Earned. And would never recommend taking an advance on a large case.
Again, you should be much more worried about professional liability in this situation (which goes back to case design). An E&O claim is going to put a much larger dent in your income than working a large case...
