2002 Part D Cheat Sheet

Specific to Georgia but the same thing may happen in other states.

PDP premiums are on the rise with some plans DOUBLING their premium for 2022.

$30 seems to be the new "sweet" spot for drug plan premiums. There are still a few "bargain" plans with premiums below $20.

Plan deductibles are increasing pretty much like prior years. Nothing really earth shaking in that area . . . BUT many plans are applying the deductible to tier 2 and higher. At least SEVEN plans apply the deductible across the board for ALL covered medications.

Four plans have a $0 deductible.

Plans with a deductible are mostly consistent at $480.

Looking at the KS book and the "$30" plans, I will be interested to see drug and pharmacy information on the SilverScript choice plan. Cigna has bumped the premium on my current plan by approx 1/3, giving Cigna 2 "$30 range" plans. Using only the Medicare and you details, the SilverScript choice plan appears to be competitive to the Cigna plans.

Wellcare has a "low" plan at twice your "$6" lep place holder plan. Not sure how that one would work out.

Have to wait until Medicare dot gov is up.
