I was just wondering about this the other day and wasn't able to find a specific answer elsewhere on the web. Let's say I have an auto insurance policy in my name, and I decided to add an additional driver (let's say, my father in law). Then, let's say that he goes and gets into an accident while driving by himself, and let's assume it was due to his own fault.
Now I'd guess that in this case, my car insurance rates would go up (please correct me if I'm wrong). But how does it affect my driving history record, if at all? That is, will my driving record state that I have an accident history now?
