I tried this outfit. Overnighted signed agreement and check on 7/17/08. Absolute scam. Not a single credible appt in the FOUR set thru 9/17/08. Each house I visited all said the same, "thought you were going to drop off something for me to read." None allowed entry into home. Once this outfit understands that you are dissatisfied, they stop taking your calls. They did offer me a referal prior to contract. Seemed legit, guess that was also part of the ruse.

Complete scam. In two months, I got four appts, each of which told me in no uncertain terms that they had been absolutely clear with the caller that they did not want anyone coming to their home.

Did you get your money back?

Their contract states they will "credit up to 50% on any dispute."

I paid $1,025 for 20 appointments but quit after 2 appts. and requested a refund. After 4 phone calls threatening small-claims court action, they refunded half of my $1,025.

You start by paying with a check--not a credit card which you can have the charges disputed. That should have told me about them immediately. They were referred by a trusted friend who apparently did not check them out thoroughly as he, too, requested a refund.

In our phone conversations, the company lied numerous times to me and my friend. AVOID THEM !!!

Yes, but they are expensive. I know of one in Fort Worth that is experienced and reputable for Annuity leads. I used them for a couple years when they were part of a now defunct marketing group. Well over $100 for basic preset appointments, not leads.

I found the pdf file for the pricing. It is $125 per preset appt and for more qualified appts based on certain criteria the price goes up. I will share the .pdf to anyone who posts an email, but it is on my rapidshare account and I will not post it publicly.

this is not a recommendation. I would still be using them if I thought they were the best way to go, but I did write around $6 million in annuity premium in just over 2 years using this same guy and his staff to preset appointments for me.

All is well. Things are heating up and I am busy getting ready to be busy.

Selling a couple age-ins a week and an occassional annuity, so my starvation diet isn't working too well.

Develop your own mail piece, buy a demographic specific mail list, find a good and inexpensive local mail service, buy a business reply permit and do your own mailings. As the cards come back, set your own appts.

I spent $800 last week to send out about 2000 pieces and will send at least 1000 out a week for the next couple months. Its not cheap, but its better than paying someone else to do it for you because you have control, can turn the faucet on and off, and you can target more intelligently.

I use a couple internet lead companies. The results are varied, but good enough that I will keep doing it too. I have the demographics and products tweeked down pretty tight, so the number of leads are limited.

I have done seminars too. They work, but they were becoming less effective and I was going to have to start going further from home, which is also less effective, at least for me. To do them right it is very expensive and you better be selling high commission products to support them. If you don't know what you are doing you will spend a bunch of money during the learning curve.

I am not a telemarketer. That works for a lot of people here and it is the least expensive in many ways. Unless you have a good list and you are willing to sit and dial for hour after hour, it will not work.

The final result of all of this effort is to sell, but the immediate purpose is to set an appointment.

Just wanted to throw my 2 cents in the forum.I have used this company.Ran about 12 appts. and wrote 4 sales ! They seem ok to me.

I got at best 2 appts a week for 2 months. They would only let me order 3 appts per week and they never set more than 2 in a week, and most weeks were 1 or 0. So, I set 3 days aside waiting for appt that never came most of the time and when they did They were garbage. I have run presets for several years and I know how to take the good with the bad. These were garbage. How the hell did you get 12 appts from them? What time frame?

They put me with Phil, their best appt setter. He got me in the door 2 times out of 5 and they were horribly unqualified. One guy could barely speak from stroke damage, yet Phil described a detailed conversation with the man and gave me details about his finances which were bogus.

I don't believe you or you are talking about a different organization than the one I worked with.
