Anyone Has Good Scripts for the Appointment Setter for FE

It's a common pleasantry here in the southeast. I could be wrong, but it's just being polite when you ask that here.
 
I'm just calling to do a survey and see if you have any life insurance on yourself? You know most people don't have enough insurance or the right type. The company that hired me to do this survey can have an agent come out and help you if you like..

No one likes competition with their business, so chances are people will not tell you good scripts that give away their "secrets". Although, I would act personable and try not to sound like you are reading from a paper when you call.
 
When getting any sort of sales call, when they ask me "how are you doing today?" or "how are you?" it makes me crazy. I'm fully aware that it's a sales call and the other party really doesn't care how I'm doing. It simply comes off very insincere to me and I lose interest in what they're saying from that point on.

I don't think you are "crazy" and it's hard to imagine that it is a regional thing. People nation wide are getting bombarded with sales calls just like that and I have to believe that none of them like it anymore than we do.

I believe it throws up a huge red flag that says "I'm after your money". We are trying to offer them help, not sell them something they neither want nor need. Therefore, I don't want to be grouped in with those people by saying the same thing they say, and they all say it.

In the beginning part of the phone call it isn't a good idea to ask them questions the agent doesn't already know the answer to. It is imperative that the agent maintain control of the call.

I've wanted to call the list of people who have received direct mail pieces. Have thought about hiring and training a part time appointment setter
Can anyone help me out?

That's a great script for FE. What do you say when calling about a med sup? Do you ask about a funeral plan?:D
