My wife is my appointment setter and she always asks what company they have insurance with if they have it, 75% of the time they don't know! but it's good to know ahead of time so I know how to adjust my angle from the beginning with them.I stole every word of it.

I agree with that ^^....however, I've set hundreds of appointments and what I've found is that it's really all about the "Benjamins". What I mean is, the appointment setter is setting a $15 appointment. I am setting a $400-$1,500 appointment and that makes all the difference in the world. If they say "I've already GOT insurance!" an appt setter moves on. I get a huge grin and tell them how wonderful it is to be speaking with someone so RESPONSIBLE as them. And "Oh, by the way, just so I can remove you from our calling list, what company do you currently have your life insurance with?" Lincoln Heritage, colonial penn, Bankers......what ever they have just put another bullet in your gun. How would you like to drop by someplace that you KNOW you could replace a LH or Bankers policy? For $15 you can't expect an appointment setter to get that information.
