Anyone Use USDATA for Leads?

Are you talking about phone numbers or lists of people who are interested in insurance?

I hear agents referring to lists as "leads" all of the time. I agree, it is difficult to know exactly what they are asking for.

A lot of the agents I work with have told me they have used USA Data and seemed pleased.

Before I placed an order I would first check with MedicarePlanSolutions. He is a stand up guy and one of the "good guys" who post on this forum. He has a hell of a deal on lists especially if you order in quantity.

I was going to use the list for a mailer targeting small businesses. Download their info into Excel and then merge with my document.

Their system seems to allow me to weed through SIC codes very easily.

That's basic data and just about any provider will get you the same list, only question is price. Well that, and delivery time. You can sort by SIC, company size, and a few other selects without any problems. If I were you and ordering at least 1,000 records I would get a quote from them, then get in touch with me. My opinion is obviously biased, but I think the advice is still sound.

I have used them and there was a lot of bogus data in the list. People that have been dead for 5 years and people that have not lived at that location for 7 years.
I will try salesgenie for my next list. I asked their rep to check out some addresses that I knew were bogus (i didn't tell him) to see if he had the same info as USA Data and they had either no info or different names for those addresses.

Lists are always going to be somewhat inaccurate, but it should never be less than 85% accurate.

What makes you interested in sales genie over a list broker?

Their data is better, read my post. They are on top off their game and want to deliver a quality product. I'm going with them. Usa had vacant houses, houses that did not exist. All sorts of crap you name it.

I read your post and I'll certainly agree that their data is better than the list you described, but I'm surprised you had such a negative experience with them. I've had similar experiences, but usually it has just been a bad batch. Data will always be inaccurate to a certain degree, but it should never be less than 85% accurate if not 90%-95%.

What percentage of the data you ordered was inaccurate?

Ok, now we are getting somewhere. First things first, they did not tell me the list would be inaccurate by any percentage.
I would say that 3 out of the 10 were bogus. How do I know this? I knocked on the doors and talked to the people. I did not send any mail. If I had I would have really been ticked off.
I mean if you spend 10 grand a year on mail and 15 or 20% are bogus you just flushed $2000 down the drain. I think it is more wise to spend the extra few bucks for the better data.
