Anyone Use USDATA for Leads?

i learned a lesson yesterday about using USA Data through MOO's site. If you buy a list through the MOO link, there is a 60 day lock out on the data to other MOO agents.

So, as I'm dialing through my list of T65s, I begin to notice that there are only TURNED 65 and no TURNING 65s. I called USA Data to ask why out of 954 records there were only 3 T65s, and they explained about the MOO Corporate lockout.

I guess that's a good thing if you're the first one to buy the list, but it sucks for me.

The nice lady at USA suggested that I just use the main USA Data site to buy my list, (same price, BTW as the MOO deal), and that she would put me in que to get some comp records as they come available to soothe my worries.

We have used them, and the data has been good. The lockout seems to apply for most corporate deals they set up, which is good in many ways, but can be bad if you aren't aware of it. Sometimes you would prefer a list that is locked out from others with the same carrier. However, other times, you may want to compete against them. As long as you know this up front (which I think they should tell you on their site to avoid confusion), then you can choose two options. Buy from their site direct, and have the full data available (and compete with those with the same carrier/no lockout), or buy through the corporate site (MOO for example), and have the lockout, so you don't compete with your fellow MOO agents. Of course, you will still be competing with the rest of the list buying world, so I'm not sure how much the lockout really helps. It makes a slight difference, but probably not a significant one. 5 cents is the going rate with them, which to us, is a great rate.

about .05 for DNC scrubbed lists. I get only records w/ phone numbers.

That's a good deal on a small order, especially if the system is letting you pick and chose and pull right from the site.

I dare you to compare!

I have compared, but thanks for the advice anyway.

USDATA's customer service sucks, in my opinion.

Their list are just as full of bad numbers as any other companies.

It has been a long time since I used them, so my figures are probably a little off, but I ordered a list to call for Med. Supps and about 30% of the first 200 numbers were bad numbers.

I called them and was told to continue to call the list of 2000 names, keep track of the bad numbers, and they would credit that amount of money on "my next order", like there was going to be a next order.

I don't know about you, but calling that high % of bad numbers, is not on my agenda.
