Can a convicted felon sell insurance?

But the question is does the state relook at your criminal record after your initial license ? I'm pretty sure no . But any company running a background check will see this . And it's very recent . I'm almost certain no medicare company will appoint him .
In Illinois we have to renew our license every 2 years. You have to answer several questions about things that have changed since you last renewed your license, such as have you been convicted of a felony. Any yes answers require an explanation.

I don't think he could sell because of the felony.

I would first contact the Florida Insurance Agent and Agency Services: (850) 413-3137 to determine if he can still sell insurance if he has a felony.

If he can, then it comes down to each individual insurer about their policy of appointing a licensed agent with a felony.

I see...so how are you able to hold your license (STILL) ???

:policeman:

?

Does anyone feel the ambiguity surrounding such a straight forward question seems somewhat troubling?

The unknown, especially if the agent where to receive a DOI complaint (regardless if founded or unfounded) would lead me to suggest employment elsewhere.

To top it off there might also be a fine from the state for not reporting the felony conviction.
