CMS 2024 Final Rule

Does CMS expect me to go through every plan I offer and count the number of plans each carrier has in each state? How are we supposed to quickly find this information, since plan count varies by county. I'm sorry, I don't have the time, if this is the case. Unless someone knows where this information is posted. I may conveniently leave out that statement because it isn't necessary. I've already told them I don't offer every plan and to call someone else to help them since apparently CMS doesn't want agents to help beneficiaries.

It's actually not horribly difficult to get the accurate count.

But 99% of people will rough estimate it.

You can (a) download CMS source files (b) add a column and call it "one-code" and combine the three MA code columns (i.e. H5525-061-000) and now you have each unique plan.

(c) filter by licensed states. (d) filter by "unique" codes.

e - remove duplicates

F - you have your count!! At least for MAPD

G - Repeat for PDP source files and SNPs.

Combine - now you have your count!!

But do you need to add med supps?????

Hahahao..... Sooooooooooooooo dumb.....

So so dumb.
