You don't see an honesty or ethical issue here? I do.

I think it is disingenuous and plain old dishonest to join a company just to get its training... with the express intention of leaving after six months or a year.

Probably, but over the years I've found that the companies/agencies bring it on themselves.

They lie when recruiting, and don't provide the support and training that new people need and deserve.

As a result, the failure rate for new agents is like 98%.

Isn't that disingenuous too?

3 years ago when I got into the biz I was brand new with no experience and went indy on a certain "experts" advice.

Talking about ethics and honesty? I have to say something. What about the millions of dollars that new agents leave on the books of these captive companies nationwide, a great deal of which the renewals are taken "in house" upon his departure. It would be nice to have the renewals from the policies that I left on the books at my old company. Most of the clients are still there. Not like you can take it with you.

Ya think if these girls that he hired and allegedly didn't pay would have had a voice at the Baltimore Sun?? This is small potatotes, it NEVER would have been published, -however a site like RIP OFF REPORT gets this info out there.

Even though I have never had any business dealings with you I could very easily go on there and make unfounded slanderous remarks about you. And you would be more or less powerless to do anything about it.

Sure, there might be some sort of truth to her post. But do you really believe that these people on ripoffreprt.com tell the complete story from both sides? I honestly doubt it. If some nut job is pissed at some company he/she is going to do their best to slander them.

Oh btw, I had a feeling it would not take very long for me make your list of people you've insulted on this forum.

BTW, I think that was more humorous sarcasm than anything else.

I honestly have no desire to turn into a know it all "I was selling insurance back when paper was made from hemp" insurance agent.

True. But once you are beyond the non-compete time period, they can be your clients again.
