Direct Xpress Lotto...

I just tell all my customers they must have a bank account. I've thought about including direct express, but I've rarely heard good things about that caliber of a customer.

I wouldn't touch direct bill with a ten foot pole. Just make the customer open an account... More times than not I've had success with them opening an account, and the banks will help them set up DD from SS.

Hmmmmm, what percentage of sales do you make on a one call close if you help them open a bank account?

SunTrust will allow for an account to be setup over the phone, give you the routing and account number on the spot, and three way in with SS to setup DD. I'm sure there are other banks that do too, but I have a good contact person at SunTrust who I enjoy working with.

Downside is that it takes about 30 minutes to get it all setup, start to finish. Upside is that my customers appreciate the time I took to help them, and are more likely to keep the policy.

Should have clarified. They appreciate that I helped them open up a bank account, and are less likely to lapse because it's on bank draft.

The last time I called S. security to tell a suspect she could have life-insurance it took 45 minutes to get them on the phone. Reality check time to if they're using direct express or another government card they probably can't get or have trouble with maintaining a bank account.

I have no issue writing DE and building up my TA as earned.

I got to say I'm rolling in laughter at this ginger gal. "My customers really appreciate me taking the time to help them open an account". Lol #1 do you really believe your people's haven't had a few accounts in their lives and screwed them up and the bank closed them . Your customers really appreciate you? You're probably the 5 th ins agent they've seen in the last 3 yrs and they'll forget you like the wind when the next agent shows up? You must be new in this business . This isn't selling water purifiers to the middle class. And for your info debit express with the correct carrier is great persistency . The last few weeks I've had a lady throw a tomatoe at me to get off her land a man who I thought lied to me cursed me out. My skin is as thick as steel and nothing affects me. I have no feelings except when I close a sale. Any person in front of me has my rent money and light bill. I refuse to go home until it's paid . If that means door knocking with a candle so be it . Will you drive 500 miles round trip leaving your house at 4 pm sat and getting home at 3 am? will you door knock till your knuckles are red and bleeding ? Till then you've not reached your true potential

Great speech Tony Robbins. But let's get it straight, I've been doing this gig for over 20 years, and my customers DO appreciate me. That's unfortunate you don't get that from your customers...

Understand, I'm in an industry with a bunch of wannabe salesmen arguing over who's genetilia is larger on a daily basis. Have you read some of these threads, funny stuff. I don't make time for nonsense.

I'm a doer not a talker, and I don't need any motivation from you, I have three children that do a good enough job.

What carriers do you like? Who is your go to day in day out? Not being nosey just curious. Looking for good agent talk lately, been in short supply for a few months.
