I just spoke to Coventry about what my commisions will be this week. I'm only gettting paid a partial amount $ 170.00 for 1 application out of 45 MA applications summited so far.
My account only show that only 3 apps are even active and 18 summited. What up with this crap? I had more than 18 app summited the first week and there not even showing up yet. The girl I spoke with told me that there are problems with their system that needs to be worked out.

Don't they know it is near Cmas time and you need all the money you can get?

I would stay on them. Make them keep you on top of the list.

I emailed Mutual of Omaha about a week ago in reference to the commissions on the part D plans. They answered back saying they hadn't reached an agreement yet with Coventry on the commissions and they would let me know when they knew.

Jeez~~~~~~~~~

I don't think I'm going to summit anymore applications with Coventry till I know what the hell is going on. Getting paid for 1 application out of 45 does not give me any warm fuzzies.

With all these new CMS rules and regulations I feel like I'm on pins and needles every time I write an application. No one there knows anything and I think I might have been givin wrong information from them regarding compliance issues that going to bite me in the ass.

Yeah...1 out of 45 isn't a good ratio. You've done well for yourself. I'm 100% sure you'll get your money...

The CMS rules and regulations is somewhat overwhelming and some is just plain ridiculous, even on Part D plans...

I have had zero luck selling MA plans...none. I can't give it away. Everyone I talk to it's....I don't like the copay if I go in the hospital. I don't like having to use such and such as a hospital....my doctor isn't on the list.

I can imagine what it's like servicing claims on it...why do I owe this provider $100? Why is this doctor billing me for $25?
I owe the hospital $2,000!!!!!

I've had good success up til now, writing med-supps for 21 years. I hardly ever get a call on a claim...maybe one call a month.

I'm sure Coventry will pay up....sounds like it may take til January. I may not get a dime on any of the prescription plans I've written with them for awhile...maybe January.

It might seem like i'm a bit paranoid but I've been on commissioned sales for 25 yrs. It never ceases to amaze me
the companies that I have dealt with that will screw you out commisions one way or another. Insurance companies are no exception.

Actually the email I got from M of O about commissions on their part D plans(AdvantraRX), said....

"good morning,
We do not have a final ruling from CMS as to what they are going to allow.
As soon as we complete our negotiation, the rate will be published on our
website and emailed to our marketers. Thanks!"

From What I understand there will be no first year commisions on cases that are comming from another carrier. For example if your client moves from anthem to coventry. If any one has any clarification on this please let me know.
