OK, Im new and newly licensed. Just tried 2 companies to get appointed. Oxford took a week, and then denied me because I had a banckruptcy. Forethought has been 3 weeks with no answer one way or the other:SLEEP:. Boring. They keep putting me off.

Is there a decent company out there with a good commission scale, fast appointment, and that does'nt get all goofy over a banckruptcy?

I am a good salesman and just want to go to work.......
May have to go to flippin' burgers....can't wait forever on some ins co to step up to the plate.
Anybody got an

We don't have the best starting commissions - but you can make some cash.

When was the bk discharged?

Call me if you like.

I don't know how much time I would waste waiting for someone to appoint me. This will not be easy to hear, why not go find some crummy job that will at least give you some kind of income and take an "as earned" contract with some life insurance companies, then after a couple of months of proving that you will write "good business" you could get some type of advance even if it just a 3-6 month advance.

That is what I would do, and before you know it you will be getting the kind of contracts you want.

You're kidding right? Job? Yuck . . .

Peeople get appointed with bk's easily so long as they are'nt presently in one - with 9 months advances at that.

All this guy needs to do is tap into training, access some leads and be sure to have a bank account for the commissions to go to.

I'm a new agent with a Chap 7 BK on my record, but it has been over two years since my discharge.

I just got contracted very quickly with Lincoln Heritage at 80% comm with full advance (just am starting at 60% advance for my first 10 apps).

How long has it been since your discharge?

Is Lincoln Heritage good to work with? What costs are involved? How fast do they pay commissions? Any info you can provide will be greatly appreciated!

Lots of info on Lincoln Heritage if you search the forum. Most of it is not good.

But, if you only want to sell over the phone you might want to consider them because they have a system for that.

If you're going face to face I recommend that you keep looking. Settlers, Monumental, Forethought, Royal Neighbors, Assurity, Colorado Bankers, Americo, and Assurant seem to be companies that I would look at for final expense.
