I agree, you need to know how much AP you would like to write per week, and then work it backwards based on a resoanable submitted per lead average. In other words, if you want to write $1500/week with a great Submitted per lead average of 150, then you would need 10 leads. The other guy on the forum with 15 leads per week is setting 12 appointments and writing $3,000...that's really good and it would seem that he has his referrals and extra door knocking down well.Just because you work a similar schedule as a successful person does not mean you will achieve that same success...
You need to set a "AP" goal, and start early Monday morning and don't stop until you reach your weekly goal. Once you develope some consistent habits you may be able to fine tune your work week.
