Getting Started in Med Supps

Philadelphia American has been pretty steady. Although they don't want GI or turning 65 business.

Dude, where have you been? You're going to have a tough time getting help from Frank. He passed away last year.

I think we all have our best clients intentions in mind, it just may not be easiest thing to convey over a forum.

As for getting started, blend your marketing. Don't just send out 2-3K BRC's and sit back. You will have to cold call, buy leads, hire a telemarketer, etc. What blend you do all depends on what yields the best results? You will have to pull the trigger and just find out. I hate cold calling...so I never did. However, I like door to door. So, what works for one agent may differ from another.

This is why you need to track your results. How many calls you made / how many appointments set / how many sales. How many BRC cards came back in X area, etc...

What I have seen is this: Agents who do not make it in the field failed to learn how to prospect. They spend their time trying to learn to sell the plans, and never learn how to get in-front of prospects.
