Google Instant

I signed in and started typing prost (for prostate cancer) and it finishes with "prostitutes in your area." Man...this thing is dead on.

I am told it fills in the blank based on your past search history . . .

In this day an age, any company is one competitor away from being a footnote.

Maybe in some areas, but not when it comes to Relevant Search results or or Search Advertising, See thats where the Money is at, Yahoo and Bing finally teamed up for Search Advertising, and still does not touch Google.

In two months, BP went from spending very little on search advertising -- about $57,000 a month -- to becoming one of Google's top advertisers, dropping nearly $3.6 million in the month of June alone.

Expedia, which spent at least $5.9 million in June, Amazon, which spent at least $5.8 million, and eBay, which spent at least $4.2 million.

Google's top advertisers that month, AT&T Mobile, spent more than $8 million on AdWords in June."

We'll see. So far they're on a bad streak - Google's phone failed, Wave failed and so on. To me it looks as if they're scrambling - throwing too much sh*t against the wall to see what sticks.

Failed by who's standard? Trust me, I make a ton on Google, and nothing compares. If you could only see the opportunities.

Google seemingly came out of nowhere and cleaned house. Almost overnight they corned the search market. Likewise, Youtube did the same - exploded onto the market.

Right now some college guy is in his basement with something that will be as equally stunning. We don't know do we. Facebook has already overtaken Google as the most popular site.
