Right on Marlin Man....in less than a 5 months that I was with them, I lost count on the bodies that came and went...I can count 15 plus (including me) that were solid and producing but left because of the management and policies. 5 times that stayed 1 - 2 days and bailed..they were the smart and intuitive ones...have a great week!!:laugh::yes::yes::swoon:

RUN RUN AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!:1mad:

Ameri-Life is still operating as if it were 1975. They have no computer system to aid the agent, or that fact the GM. There is NO back office help. The main goal is to get numbers on the board - by any means necessary. I would reccomend that anyone thinking about joining them have their head examined. The overall reputation with customers is not good. Too many agents have cut corners that leave the client wishing they had never opened their door.

AMERILIFE IS AN OK PLACE IF U CAN SELL... THEY GIVE YOU ALREADY SET APPOINTMENTS BUT ITS TRUE THAT ALOT OF THEM ARENT REAL, I KNOW FIRST HAND AS I AM AN APPOINTMENT SETTER.... AND ITS MAINLY BECAUSE THEY HIRE CRAPPY PEOPLE AND LET THEM STAY TOO LONG BEFORE GETTING RID OF THEM, THEY ALSO WILL CHARGE YOU OUTRAGEOUS AMOUNTS ON YOUR BOND, AND IF THEY DONT LIKE YOU THEY CAN MAKE SURE YOU DONT GET TO SELL ANY WHERE ELSE AFTER LEAVING WITH THEM, UNLESS YOUR IN IT FOR THE LONG HAUL AND YOU CAN SELL YOUR *SS OFF, CONSIDER WORKING FAST FOOD BEFORE AMERILIFE UNLESS YOU HAVE MONEY TO BLOW:no:

Re: Amerilife Interview......Please Help

First off it's a captive outfit, should you want to leave, you leave your clients there too. If you want to be able to offer good products that you have researched, have good commissions and your own clients, don't go there!! :nah:

duh... you have to leave your clients because you didnt find those clients, Amerilife paid for you to get those leads. As with any company, its called smart business.

What office was this? We have a strong office staff and computers and everything! Maybe we are the only "high class " office. And if the community doesn't like us, I do apologize for the inconvenience, but did you know Amerilife is starting a charity and volunteer program? Get your facts straight before you criticize.

Where would you suggest a newbie go to?

I have an interview tomorrow with Amerilife. Does anyone happen to have any information about this company? I have tried doing research, but haven't been able to find much on them. I was told that they provide leads and preset appointments. Also, I have been contacted by Insuramerica, any information on them would be helpful.

I do wish I had seen your post in a timely fashion. My advice for the AmeriLife interview would have been, "Don't show up."

If you want to start in the insurance business and desire "leads," find an old-fashioned debit company (home service, or what ever the PC term is these days), and work for them. You will have a built in set of customers to call on each month when you go around collecting the monthly premiums. I started that way, and while I can't say a debit route is much fun, I was able to talk to a lot of people and make some sales in a no-pressure atmosphere to legit customers (vs. friends and family who are only buying to "help" you) while learning the do's and don'ts of the business. It was a good setting to learn in.

I live in Tampa, FL and got contacted by AmeriLife. I will not be setting an interview.

I really appreciate the info, but being brand new to this industry, what are the names of these debit companies, home service companies to start at?

I really want to learn the ropes and enter this industry. It sounds like you had a great beginning experience with one of those companies.

I would love to know how to get set up w/ one.

Thanks so much in advance.

Matt

It was founded by the most evil person I know. Gary Boesch. Only Tim North who is the current CEO is worse. Horrible nasty company. Simply put!!
