How Many Per Week

I have had 12 app weeks. Not the norm. He asked for an average. I don't keep those type of numbers. I know we rarely have a blank week. Most of ours are referrals now.

Typical commission amount? or percentage? You can find around 100% commission and I'd say my average is a $50-60 month payment. I don't do a lot of FE though, mostly medicare products....and most that cross sell do it in home

I am on a 120 and a 115 contract with main two FE carriers, avg premium $59 per mth so about $800 per app. Not too bad.

entire 2010 average 1 med supp sale every other week. Most of my medicare sales are MA and written during AEP. My home state of PA is heavy with enrollment into Medicare Advantage plans. My advice it to be licensed to sell both.

For 2011 I hope to bring the Med Supp sales on par with my MA production.

Cheers,
Joe

I dont know where in PA you sell but in the suburbs of Philly I sell nothing but Med Sups. The MA market is terrible and with the GI Plan N, MAs make even less sense.

Pretty much. They find me, not the other way around. Could be luck, but even if it is I hope it doesn't stop.

I figure it will start to take a life of it's own around 100 - 150 apps. By the time it gets to 250+ it should really start to grow unless I do something to screw it up.

They will continue to find you all hours of the day and night. Why not? You get paid a fraction of a health agent's commission and it doesn't cost them anything.

On the brighter side, keep your eye on the ball. Selling them other things that they want and need. If you're prepared, in a City like Atlanta, you will have some monster life and annuity requests, when you least expect it.

MA is terrible in PA? you might want to do a lil research before you make a statement like that. PA has one of the highest enrollment percentages into MA nationwide.

I'm happy your selling med supps.. and I hope you sell a ton of them but dont discount Medicare Advantage Plans in Pennsylvania. I will agree that Med Supp is a better option in the 5 county Phila metro area. Go outside the 5 county area and the MA offerings are extremely attractive.
