How Often Do Your Clients Cancel or Refuse a Policy Upon Delivery?

Do you guys hand deliver most of your policies? How in the world do you have time for that if you do?

I prefer to diliver my policies. I got away from it a while but taliking to Newby as m uch as I do he kinda reinforced that as something that we should be doing.

I write a lot of business, over 300 apps per year so I can't deliver them all. If I'm working the same area for a period of time it's not such an issue but sometimes it creates a problem. I have 7 policies to deliver in the Evansville, In area right now but my leads yesterday are for Christian County, Ky which is down on the Ky-Tn line. I will have to take time on my appointment setting days this week to go deliver policies.

The one I write this week I may have the companies send them unless it's replacements. I ALWAYS hand deliver replacements.

Very interesting. Thank you for sharing JD. Why do you "always" deliver replacements?

To help them sort through all the BS the replaced company sends and also I usually help them stop the draft on the old policy and help with any paperwork if there is some cash value they will be getting.

I have been in the Final Expense market for just under 3 years now. It is the segment in the market that is the fastest growing and will continue to be driven by baby boomers as over 10,000 people everyday are becoming 65.

Yes it is true that sometimes people drop policies because they can not afford them but there are ways to save policies from totally falling off the books. you might want to try a drive by if someone says they want to cancel. Trying to save a policy by telling them to lower their face amount so they can keep some sort of coverage. this will work better if during the original presentation you did a good job of selling the need. I noticed you are in the Jacksonville area, I am also. This is a great city for FE because there are massive amount of potential clients. just last week I sold 9 policies for $4,700 in Jax. Let me know if I can help you out anymore.

Do you combine anything with the final expense suchas med sups?
