Lady came into my office that recently took out a Med Supp with State Farm, $135 plan F (she is T65). I was able to easily replace it, but I would prefer not to go through the local office for the cancellation. Anyone know of a main number I can send this letter to that she signed? She is in TN.

Nothing seems to be on their website as far as a customer service number.

I would just call claims and tell them you need to cancel and see what they say. they'll either tell you the correct number to call or tell you you have to go through the local office.

I might be wrong on this, but I don't think the client is aloud to be forced to going through the agent.

On the lady's Med Supp card, it will have the State Farm main address.
Mail in the cancelation.
If she is still within the Free Look period, mail in the actual policy and get her first month premium refunded.

Part of State Farm's shtick is everything is handled by the agent. If you want to call in, they are going to try to get you to her agent.

Best bet is to follow Tins' advice and mail in something to the mail office.

There should be a Customer Service # on the back of her State Farm Med supp card. She can call that # and cancel, they may tell her she has to put it in writing, if so, just have her ask for the mailing address or Fax #

thanks guys. I have replaced Farm Bureau Med supps many times, and have the main fax and ph # and always use them and never go through the local office. Don't run into State Farm supps that often.

If she has her car and homeowners insurance with state farm there should be a number/address on her bill. I recently replaced two SF life insurance policies and did it all through the corporate office. Of course they tried to get the clients to contact their "agent" but that wasn't gonna happen. Good luck...
