How to Work Internet Leads

I have a client with a $100k+ claim that is in review now. Don't anticipate any problems, but it will be Feb or March before the claim is actually paid.

Had them sign a HIPAA release. This allows me to stay in the loop for the next 12 months.

I have already run interference on some of the early issues, told the client what to expect and how to deal with providers who want their money.

If the client is up front, the carrier does their job on the front end, and all material facts are disclosed, a claim review should not be a problem.

FWIW, most carriers will do a cursory review of all illness related claims during the first 6 months. They may also ask for records on a routine physical . . . just to check against the app.
