FINAL REVIEW FOR INSURANCELEADZ.COM:

D

The positives: Generally, they are pleasant people to deal with and are located right down the road from me in Columbus. Credits were issued very promptly. And they allowed me a very generous $100 credit to try out their leads.

The negatives: Obviously, at $13 per lead, the leads better be good. They were no different than $8 leads that you can purchase elsewhere. Also...medical conditions are clearly listed, but you have to guess which person they apply to. A rating nightmare.

And finally, on December 6th, they sent an email stating that "Agents who received 20 leads have over 30% conversion rates." Obviously, that figure appears to be quite high. After two followup emails requesting proof, I have not received the documentation, as promised.

In summary...This is not necessary one of those "run away fast" lead services. But I would walk briskly.

I still have not received that documentation, so I'm leaving them alone. As for a final grade...I'll give them a C-*. The asterisk means they might be worth looking at in 3-9 months if they follow up on some of the suggestions that were made and become more competitive.

But for now...there are better options.

This post was based on personal observation and opinion.

$13 leads is a complete joke.

I can see now way anyone can stay above water at $13 on a shared lead.

30% conversion is complete BS.

I have tracking for years and years unless you are juicing your own numbers, this is BS.

Yes, I thought the same thing about the $13. But since they offered me a $100 credit, I tried them out. Of course, when the credit ran out, I did not purchase any leads. I might have considered staying with them at about $7 a pop.

I am not recommending either of these two, since I know nothing about them.

I have emails from these two today.

nationaldata.biz

Benepath- which is also an insurance agency.

Anyone have any experience with?

Netquote...ONLY if you request zip codes with less than three agents. Leadco.bz isn't too bad. Some issues that I raise with them, but generally they respond quickly and they are usually very good about crediting leads.

Also...Leadsfromlebanon.com is a new company. Leads only cost about $5 but nobody answers their phone. They use cell phones and they are afraid that the phone will blow up if they answer it.

"What is a HAL voice mail? Is that a reference to 2001: A Space Odyssey?"

Yup. when you get the electronic "you have reached 123-4567 leave a message.."
OK well who are you? Are you the person on the lead I just got?

If I can't identify the name to the phone or address and the email bouces back I want credit. While I know tex has mentioned problems with them, hometown quotes has been pretty reasonable with me about crediting these types of leads... the ones where nothing seems correct. With a few others netquotes, quotes auctions for example, getting credit for oviously bad leads was like boxing several rounds. Not for me if I'm paying the freight.

No, actually on that particular batch of leads it was in fact very true. I am not sure what your specific problem was...However, in most recent batch of 30 leads from HTQ I have sold 4 (3 issued, one declined) so let's figure 10%. I can live with that...and I am only paying $11.50. My overall close rate on ALL shared internet leads has been even higher (though coming down a bit now), maybe I am just a better salesman? :D
