Living Promise - MoO

"Living Promise", the FE plan from Mutual of Omaha is now available here in California.

Looking at the application it appears the client will have to sign 5 or 6 times.

Application asks Drivers License information and how long I've known the client. I know these are common questions in the standard market but isn't it a little much for FE?

Most of my answers will be:
Drivers License? Nope.
How long known? 45 minutes.

I'm sure the answers to those questions won't matter much but getting 5 or 6 signatures seems a little excessive for a simplified issue product.

Their rates look decent for Female Non-Tobacco users but that's about it.

Any one here writing much Living Promise? I like their name recognition but can't get too excited about the product yet.

I Love Living Promise! Almost every application I've sent them has been issued within 24 hour, paid 3 days after that. Can't complain.

Living promise is pretty solid. like others said , the PHI is random, and I haven't figured out the algorithm yet.
Good rates, quick issue time, and they allow telesales with E-Signature.

Pretty good company to have in your arsenal

TransAmerica added a new page to their FE app today. Requires an additional signature.

How does 5-Star have one signature on the whole app plus payment page and the app is good for most states?

Other companies need 50 Bazillion signatures and every state has a unique app.

...Because the Business Prevention Unit and Transamerica is run by a pack of lawyers afraid of their own shadows...

Beware of not adding DL number. It'll trigger phone interview for sure. They wanna make sure it's not a medical reason for not having DL. Use the e app (i Go) so it's only check boxes. I typically write 1 day for how long I know the client (unless I know them longer)

What about being insulin friendly?

As long as Diabetes didn't begin before age 50 and there are no complications it appears that an otherwise healthy person would be eligible for Level Benefit.

Can anyone here confirm using Living Promise at Level if an insulin dependent diabetic is complication free and onset of diabetes was after age 50?

That's what they say, but so far I'm 0 out of 3 on insulin dependent. All came back graded. I'd love to hear otherwise

Had several insulin using diabetics approved at level. IF they were declined, get a list of all medications that your client is taking.

Chances are, one of the prescription drugs they are taking, knocked them down to graded.

Always have a list of the Rx drugs, and submit it along with the uses with the application

That's good enough for me to stop considering them, I can use SNL easily at Standard rate and get them Level coverage, without any fuzzy underwriting issues.

I think MoO or more correctly UoO will just stay in my bag for their Whole Life Children policy only. Client just needs to remember the little kid's name, birthday and the rates are good. I have sent in 6 grandkids in the past few days, hopefully they will fly right through to issue.

I know the premium is low but the grandparents appreciate the coverage and they the more policies in the home the better chance I have to stick as their agent.
