Ok, let me clarify for you. It is a good thing to have an alternative plan to offer folks - especially those identified in the origin of this thread. There are lots of folks experiencing over a 27% rate increase (with age and the increase) on plans like Mutual.

As for this new carrier opportunity, word is that their leadership has vastly improved since the acquisition, and that it is on firmer footing. But, since you posted on another forum that you go through someone else for your contracts, I'm sure he's told you all about it on Friday.

Some folks will choose not to represent the Heartland Medicare supplement, and that's fine. But for those who sell in the areas where their rates are still the best, it is a great option to have for their clients. No, their commissions are not in line with some of the competition. But is a good option to have, no doubt.
