Every now and then, CMS comes out with some, IMHO, cool stuff.

This is one of them:

https://www.cms.gov/Research-Statistics-Data-and-Systems/Statistics-Trends-and-Reports/Dashboard/Medicare-Drug-Spending/Drug_Spending_Dashboard.html

Lots of info about drugs including generic name, what the drug is used for, increase in cost over the past few years, average cost with and without LIS, and more.

For you insurance geeks like me out there, enjoy!

That is pretty cool. And it even tells you how it's covered (Part B or Part D). However, the list is very small. Would be better if it had more medications listed.

Great list, good info. I am counting on my fingers and toes- is my math correct- many of these drugs are BILLION dollar drugs? Wow.

This is such a cool list! I am shocked to see the increase for some of these- 545%! I wonder what is causing the increase- are there legitimate reasons like manufacturing issues, or is it all about usage and stock price?

Congress looking into this, and, as we know, at least one example, the answer to why the increase: "because he could", and, allegedly for pharma bro--he did it to fund a Ponzi scheme in another of his companies.
Shkreli, Valeant CEO set for a grilling at congressional price-hike hearing - FiercePharma

There is also pushback against him getting held up as a bad apple example, so other pharma co's can say, "look, a criminal did this over there, nothing to see over here, move along."
