Need Out from my IMO - but How?

That's exactly right. The training we give goes way beyond most IMOs and definitely beyond any company direct so for that it's just for agents who put all FE with us. But we have hundreds of guys like you also. You can have it either way.

This way if the agents wants the extras, he gets them for free. No giving up of any commissions for a middle man to train him. Or if he already is fine on his own and just wants a contract or two with high commissions and open releases, he can have that too.

The call is nothing special at all, most of the time it is 3 hours of moaning about where to get leads and how to work them, yawn....it may be pretty good for a virgin agent but after they have been in fe they can find the same info online cause Google is your friend. If you are willing to believe the Wizard about what's behind that curtain you will have to basically sell your soul to that group and then it will be a big let down....similar to Dorothy and her motley Crüe seeing the truth about the Wizard, it is all propaganda.

So, are you still "semi captive" with your new IMO...or are you truly independent?

I'll answer the question about 360 based on my experience.

I've got contracts with EFES, Todd King, and 360. When I spoke with Ben and Brad I let them know that I wanted to try their lead program. I also said that I would send all business to them from their leads unless the other carriers were a better fit.

Since I've had my Americo and Monumental locked up with EFES I have sent those carriers some business; however it was only when the carriers I had with 360 didn't fit.

I will soon be moving contracts to 360 as soon as I pay off debt balance from Americo ($2100) and Monumental ($1200). I only write these two carriers now when that is best for the client and as such it takes a little longer to buy down my debt without me stroking a check.

Nope, 100% independent, will I place the bulk of my carriers and ap with them? yes because they have many many more things that are an advantage to the Indy agent and not really available elsewhere. I'll also pick up new carriers with them as needed.

I'm really glad things are working out for you dude, you are a beast, keep it up. :)

Everyone is entitled to their opinion and my opinion of the calls is far different than that.

I learn things on the calls just about every week. Just as I learned from the call that EFES had and the ones at NAA when I was with them. If 360 has calls I'm sure I would learn from them too if I was part of it.

I don't think one ever stops learning in this business. And sometimes what you learn from calls and interaction with other agents is what not to do. And many times that's more important than what to do.

FEX training is also far more than the friday calls.

I'm glad that you were part of FEX because that's how I got to meet you. I wish the stuff between you and FEX hadn't happened. Especially the way it happened.

No what he's saying is you can write with any carrier and any IMO you want, then you are independent. He's trying to start sh I t about FEX being captive...which they are not. U referenced 1 agent whom fex no longer wished to do business with...not so much a blow up

Haha actually I really wasn't. I have always said that. For the record I have also said I do not blame FEX for requiring their agents have all their FE contracts with them. If I recruited and trained I would do the same. Newby has said they are captive like as well. But I really was not referring to anyone. .......... this time.

If you are a REMOTE agent and training goes as far as a conference call once a week... I have been on quite a few conference calls with a lot of different companies. They can only do so much.

If you are referring to me Donnie that's a damn lie and you know it, I guess you are gonna fall in line with them too since I decided to not have anything to do with you too? If you are referencing me in this post I'm more than happy to meet you face to face and find out why you would say this, we live very close to each other, just let me know.... If you are gonna say bs about me you need to look me in the eyes.

Dear gawd. I was saying that Wino was trying to stir up the $h it, not you.

I know why yo(JG) wanted to move your contract...I've also talked to Travis and Scott on why THEY wanted you to move all of your other contracts.

I get that you're sensitive over this situation, but damn man, I've got no hard feelings AND I wasn't falling in line. Just telling it from what I heard from Scott and Travis...why because you called me last Friday and said your goodbyes...I've respected that and not reached out. Now you want to fight me??

I would agree that training calls with insurance companies are worthless. They have no idea as to how their products get sold.

Training calls with actual producers is a far different thing.

John you are a class act, I learned from you. I too hate all of this but It is why it is at this point. Funny thing is the only time Iearned anything on those calls was when you were speaking.

Read above.... You stated it was not a blow out but about cutting ties, it was not about that at all, it was about grown men acting like 2 year olds, how in the world can you say one thing and thin spin it off as someone else saying it? Unbelievable, and for the record I don't want to fight you but if anything incorrect is said about how or why me and fex split it needs to be the truth or look me in the eyes if you are gonna spin this, that's all.
