Aetna will be offering two new plans in GA (and presumably other states) in December. These low cost plans are dubbed Preventive 1250 & Preventive 3000.
The Preventive 3000 is HSA compatible.
Premiums are about half the cost of the relatively popular Value Plan. A family of 4 in their mid 30's can have the Preventive 1250 for $289 per month vs $440 for the Value Plan with a $2000 deductible.
The plan offers wellness benefits such as an annual GYN exam with $0 copay and a routine physical every 24 months for a $25 copay. The plan has a $1250 deductible and 80/20 coinsurance to $2500 OOP plus the deductible.
The catch?
Other than wellness there are virtually NO outpatient benefits.
No doc visits.
No Rx cover.
No DXL.
No DME.
Half a plan for half the premium. What a deal.
