New insulin coverage for 2021

I thought it would be helpful to see which PDP plans are offering that benefit and which aren't.

From my end I see the following PDP plans

WellCare wellness, value script, value plus
Humana premier
Aarp preferred
Silverscript plus

Major ones that say no
BCBS
Aarp Walgreens
Humana basic/walmart. Basic non commissionable for 2021

Looks like most of the mapd plans are offering it.

Anyone got their marketing in point to reach out to endocrinologists and/or have their data segmented to pull out their insulin clients??

This is not an issue which I have followed closely so I don't know if this is a good article or a bad article, but here is a CMS press release I found. Hopefully that will give you some background and some search vocabulary if there are concerns you wish to research further.

While obviously I'm happy to see reduced insulin costs for Medicare eligible beneficiaries and it's probably one of the few things that Trump has done to help ordinary Americans, there's a lot to unpack on Trump's statement about insulin and Rx prices generally.

He did. He stated that Insulin is so cheap, it's like water.

That's not true.

Medicare Part D has a new feature that lowers costs to consumer for insulin. HOWEVER, it does literally nothing for the other 3.7 million people (about half) of the insulin dependent Americans that pay $300 a vial.

Furthermore, Trump signed an EO allowing allowing American to import medications from other countries, which is illegal for personal use.. so that EO is BS.

The "Favored Nations" comment has not been implemented, which makes it a bogus comment.

But, maybe the Proud Boys, while they're standing by, can get to work on smugging Rx across the border.

Why or how does it nothing for 3.7 million insulin-dependent seniors?
