Old P&c Agent Looking to Do Final Expense Over the Phone

I am a agency manager of a p and c agency. I am looking to do something on my own. I previously owned(allstate), sold, and moved due to child's medical issues. I did well at one of the big name companies, but didn't want to do the captive again. I would like to do final from my home and have been researching the forum. UNFORTUNATELY I don't have a large bankroll for leads and I don't mind reduced commissions in trade for leads. I'm hoping I could do it part time and build up enough to transition to full time. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Doing FE by phone is no easy endeavor. I would highly recommend that you avoid this pursuit unless you can find an IMO who can provide you with rock solid training and support. Training is key.

The main issue I see for you is that you have a full time job and you would need to do this part time to start with. FE by phone isn't easy, and in my years of doing it over the phone, I have never once seen someone do it successfully part time. I personally have tried doing it part time and it didn't work out. Only with a full time effort (40 hour per week with at least 35 hours on the phone), am I or my agents successful. In my experience, its full time or no time.

If you are really committed to doing this by phone I would recommend you start by cold calling for leads. After you make a couple sales from cold called leads, then buy leads or get them from your IMO on a reduced comp.

There is a really really good reason many many try phone sales and fail. It is not a simple as 1, 2, 3.

O ya and did I mention that training is uber important. Cant stress that enough.

GL out there bro hope this helps.

Contact Twilight on this Forum...he's an old P&C guy as well. He'll point you in the right direction.
