P&C commission question

Any information on what Workers' Comp renewals are like?

It varies with the company and state, but when I was captive in the P&C world I got 7.5% first year and 5% renewals. I've spoken with people with other companies who got as low as 4% first year, but still got 4% on renewals. I'm sure there are people out there who got a better percentage than I did as well. I'm not sure what the independent P&C people are getting.

I'm interested in adding P&C to my life and health business. Has anyone done that and had good success with it?

I'm an agent in Florida and my agency receives 10-13 on workers comp and 15 on general liability unless you go E&S and that is 10. Commercial auto, the same thing, 15%.

This is our carriers, right now I use 14 carriers

I don't know what personal lines commissions are bc I focus solely on business ins.
