Proper Attire To An Insurance Interview

I'll never ask for anything - even if I'm thirsty. If they offer me something to drink I just ask for water - never anything like iced tea or lemonade because if they don't have it then it's an uncomfortable moment.

Ditto! I always accept the drink. It makes them more receptive. Do you ever ask for a glass of water? Does that help or hurt?

Most people offer something. I usually take water. If I do not finish it no big. If they are having coffee I will accept that. maybe a cooke,no meal. If we meet in a restaurant I just order coffee or iced tea. A full meal takes to long and is messy.

We could run an entire webinar on in-house presentation etiquette. I'm sure somewhere out there there are agents violating basic protocol and losing sales.

There's client etiquette too. How 'bout in the middle of your presentation the husband takes a call, holds up the "one minute" finger and disappears for 15 minutes. Comes back to sit down...phone rings again.

I've gone on appointments where due to a variety of factors I said I was just leaving them with materials and the quote page - here's my card and out the door. Spent around 15 minutes at the table to make it look good before bolting.

Only have done that three or four times but I know when my time is being completely wasted.
