Question about a under 65 on di and has Medicare card

Called Honor and she wants off her husbands and full mapd benefits . She’ll save $200 getting off her husbands

Your incorrect . I just read coordination of benefits like a book. If the disabled person is under age 65 and the group is over 100 employees( Both these apply) then the group insurance plan pays first . Same scenario above and under 20 employees Medicare pays first . Quote on quote coordination of benefits can also include in rare circumstances a 3rd payer( mapd) in this case . On mapd app they ask if she has group coverage but they don’t even want the name . Again she’s dropping the group in April and will save $150 a month . She also can and does use the VA.

While you are at it, look up the definition of your and you're
