Put me down as another very happy user of Microsoft Strips and Treats (or whatever it's called). 
If I have an address that it doesn't recognize, I merely input a nearby address (fetched from the state property database) and make a handwritten note of the substitution.
One caveat -- I was typing in about 132 addresses one time when I was routing T65 leads from a list, and the program crashed at about the hundredth entry. Thus I learned the importance of doing a "save" every 25 or so addresses.
