Starting Out in FE

Frankly, you can do whatever you want.

You are more likely to be successful if you do it full time. That is because you won't be distracted by another job. Also, you'll get a lot of your early mistakes out of the way faster. You are going to mess up along the way, but the sooner you do and learn the lesson, the sooner you will get to the successful part of your career.

Or, you may go full-time, completely fall on your face, not learn a single lesson and be looking for another job that much sooner.

Doing it full-time does not guarantee your success, it just increases your chances. IMO

You can do this full time or part time. That's really up to you.

Either way, know that you will likely need make 100 at the table presentations before you really hit your stride. So if you go at this full time and make 10 presentations a week, you'll be cooking in about three months.

If you're part time, and average 3 presentations, you do the math, and consider how you will keep your enthusiasm and determination up for 7 months.

Both of these posts are pretty spot on.

Yup, very true and that's what im finding. pretty tough trying to get any traction part time.
trying to get myself in position for full-time duty.

As a new FE agent, can I start out part time and gradually go full time or do I have to go at it full time to make a go of it?

I started part time writing anywhere from $1000 to $2000 week. Im in my 7th month, quasi full time, last week I wrote $5000, this week so far $3500. With that being said, if you have the tenacity to learn and stick with it you can do it. Be willing to learn and listen even if you THINK you got it, you don't. Get with a good group of top agents and listen to what they say and do, copy, rinse and repeat, keep it simple. Oh yea, buy leads, lots and lots of leads as often as you can, no leads no profit. Know leads know profit.
