"why would a call center waste their time on a low-premium area of the state? "

because with their overhead, life isn't that gravy for them either. I was one you reccommended netquote to, no worries, I'm not mad at you. I didn't go with them because my first experience with them was so poor I couldn't bring myself back.

They would just piss me off so often over obvious creditible leads that I got tired of fighting with every other smuck that picked up the phone there. I realized I'm paying them, not the other way around. There are dozens of other companies out there offering the same thing without having to consider putting a bomb in somebody's car because they're such an asshole.... unlike my muslim friends, we irish strap the bomb on your car, boat or home, not on ourselves. Mainly because theres often more than one person who pisses us off....

Other Ohio born celebs:

Marge Schott

Roger Clemens

Don Schula

and I don't know if he was born there, but I was on the same plane as Mike Sexton (he was sporting an OSU coat) on the way to Vegas.

I'm almost afraid to name another one since I might jinx them.

Somarco likes HometownQuotes.

TexInsurance also has leads. I think the link is in his signature.

Hometown Quotes are some of the Worse Health leads on the Market, show me in Google or Yahoo with Major Keywords searches, such as Low Cost Health Insurance, Family Health Insurance, Individual health insurance, (these are the top 3 keyword Searches for Health Insurance, and thier ads are no where to be found? You better search hard, because you won't locate them, tells me they use a ton of co-registration leads. Even affliates advertise on the 1st Page of Google, so I dont know how they get their leads, I do, but wont go into all that.

I would not recommend them to anyone.

Good point.

Just for the heck of it, I googled "Family Health Insurance" and the results were:

1. Healthinsurance.org

2. Ehealth

3. Ehealth again

4. New York Dept. of Health

5. Healthplanone.com

6. Goatporn.com

7. Vitalonehealth.com

Notes: Of course, at different times of the day, these will change. And yes...I was kidding about #6!

Your looking at Organic Results, which is the Best, but Most Major Lead Vendors will not show up in Organic searches, for those Keywords. The advertisers are on Top and to the Right. Thats what you want to pay attention to.
