Suspend Your Netquote Account...and Fast!

OK. Using that criteria, the top ones are:

1.Healthmarkets.com

2. Horizon BCBSNJ

3. Assurant (Yes, the dreaded Assurant)

4. Guaranteedcoverage.com

5. Greathealthplan.net (New Jersey)

Oh...wait. Our server (I guess) is located in New York. Is that why all of these New Jersey sites are coming up?

I created a post about this about a month ago. Search for my agentinsider.com post. I showed how most all leads companies are inter-selling now to make sure each lead it sold about 8-10 times. They want to make sure an agent that represents every single company available will pay for a lead. I just got off the phone with someone who said the phone will not quit ringing. She was absolutely pissed off.

The only thing that makes me scratch my head is that netquote and the ilk seem to be killing their business model for 5-10 years down the road when no one will ever think of going to the internet for quotes again.

"5-10 years down the road when no one will ever think of going to the internet for quotes again."

Ya know it's hard for some of these guys to think 6 months ahead and you're asking for a decade? The last 15 years or so it's get in, get popular, sell and walk away. That has become America's business model. No one is making generational plans for business anymore. it's get and get out.

All Internet leads tend to be younger, low premium, transitional (as a whole). The key as Chumps pointed out is getting a good ROI after you sort through the garbage. The next key is if you have the time and inclination to sort through the garbage.

I always tell people to concentrate on ROI as opposed to cost per lead. I can get leads all day long for 50 cents (aged) but junk is junk. ROI is no different than a $10 quality lead.

I have a P&C agent friend who is licensed L&H that I pay $100 per referral - but every one is a solid long lasting deal, with no BS or effort.

ROI is the key.

I think its Netquote that is hoping to go public. If not then its one of the other major companies. They aren't struggling financially or for business share. They just want their numbers to look good so they can have a big IPO and the owners basically win the lottery.

Agent Insider has done the same thing with selling the leads to more agents.

Denver...you should know. Isn't NetQuote located in Denver? Same with Insureme, I believe.

The NQ office is about 1 mile away from mine.

I also use, agentinsider, quoteauction, and insureme. Can't remember which one was talking about going public. Just know I don't enjoy any internet leads for P/C. And life leads are even worse, all people with terminal illness.

If you are luck enough to live in Maryland try QuickLowQuotes.com

I haved fired NQ, InsMe and HTQ years ago.
This is the only company I have found that has provided good leads for auto insurance, home insurance, life insurance, and small business insurance.
The secret is you have to find market specific company.
Life http://www.lorenv.com/pics/spam/spam2.jpg for insurance quotes in Maryland.
