UHC Making It Impossible to Determine FL Provider Network

This is why I left and went with BC/BS in Florida, large network, fabulous hospitals and ppo and hmo available in all my counties.

I thought Humana added some more classes/locations due to demand. I believe their is one 9th and 10th in Orlando area and maybe the 14th in Jax area. I know some going to that one. I would call. I had to take mine in Lake Mary just to get it over with...2 hours away.

They have one in Ocala on the 17th. Waiting to hear back on confirmation.

What does the class consist of and is it an all day class?

Could somebody Please tell me what's going on over at UHC.
1. I can't order supplies..."Going Green"
2. They chop the provider network
3. They aren't advertising this AEP
4. They aren't participating in the Federal Health Exchanges
5. They chopped MA SNP commissions with the "zero commission plans"
6. I heard a rumor they are going up from $0 to $49 a month on some plans.

Do they just want to get out of this business all together or what??

If I recall, it was either all day or half a day because I remember them serving breakfast and lunch. It was basically about the 2014 plans. They gave out some excellent cheat sheets and even discussed some of the ACA plans that would be in and out of the exchange. This is my first time with Humana but, I like what I see so far.

Went to the class yesterday and it was the better part of the day so be prepared mentally. But, we did get breakfast and boxed lunches and "worked" through lunch watching their new tv ads and the video presentation.

The bad news is that some of their PPOs have a monthly preemium of $92.00 or $103- doon't recall the counties and none have the give back. Didn't get to see the network provider list.

.

Problem is...you have to take that stinking class to write their MAPD's. Call the closest office(Pensacola),....no classes given anytime soon. They just gave one last week. Called the Jacksonville,FL. office....no classes given anytime soon. They just gave one last week.

My friends are taking a class in Miami next week, I had to go up to the Villages from Ft Laud 2 yrs ago. They managed to loose my paperwk so I missed that Miami class. Meanwhile it's been a wholly mess down here. No mo HMO....PPo ripped to shreds...trying to find a plan for my 94 yr old client that takes 20 meds and lost his PCP from UHC. He don't like change. Most of my clients are Humana and Blue migrating. Too much time trying to keep book, no time to write new clients.....we we we.....:nah:

In the midst of major changes in health care, UnitedHealthCare has sent thousands of pink slips to Connecticut doctors.

Termination letters went to physicians caring for Medicare patients. Those letters were sent out to doctors caring for 'Medicare Advantage' patients. It's a plan, marketed to Seniors to provide additional services through UnitedHealthCare.
