What is Going on at Foresters....Fast Issue?

I prefer not doing a POS but if there is one I don't mind doing it's RNA. Their interview has always been quick for me. They don't go off topic and ask questions that aren't on the app.

Someone posted earlier in this thread that Foresters POS is usually only about 5min...thats baloney. They have 1 of the longest 1 Ive seen in comparison to 5Star & RNA I havent used GPM's yet....I wouldnt say its so long that I wouldnt use them, but its def not 5min. You the agent are on the phone about 5min before its handed to the client, and they are on it about 6-8min, then back to you for 1min or so...so about 10min.

Now, all that being said....I posted on here back in Dec about them issuing a policy for me thurs morning (thanksgiving) after I had done the interview & faxed in the app tuesday. They are fast now, real fast....and I hear many agent are starting to use them more.

I posted it, its not baloney, at least when I was submitting over 20 apps a month with them, maybe it has slowed down since I wrote an app with them, but lets not call it baloney, It never took more than 5 mins from the time I handed the phone to the applicant till they handed the phone back to me, I dont count the time I spend on the phone giving them my agent number and a little client info, the only time I count is how long the applicant is actually going through the inquisition (interview);)

I find it hard to believe it was that short, just between verifying info, telling the applicant they are recording and getting permission to ask health information and then reading the questions.

I really don't see how any PHI could be that short unless they just blow through it all.

Im just relaying my experience, your mileage may vary. They have never been any longer than any others that come to mind. Most of mine go pretty fast no matter which carrier I use. Maybe Im just really organized and good.

You only count the time that the client is talking on the phone? Sounds like you are trying to CYA. If that's the case all companies are 4-5 minutes. Any extra time spent on the phone with the PHI is time you could have spent selling someone else.

I like the PHI because it helps the agent should a contestable claim occur (no he said-she said), and also because in most cases you get an immediate decision. I DON'T like to spend 30 minutes on the phone doing a husband/wife, or any time that is more than necessary.
