What is Going on at Foresters....Fast Issue?

You only count the time that the client is talking on the phone? Sounds like you are trying to CYA. If that's the case all companies are 4-5 minutes. Any extra time spent on the phone with the PHI is time you could have spent selling someone else.

I like the PHI because it helps the agent should a contestable claim occur (no he said-she said), and also because in most cases you get an immediate decision. I DON'T like to spend 30 minutes on the phone doing a husband/wife, or any time that is more than necessary.

CYA, what the hell are you talking about? It is what it is and I like the PHI for the very reasons you mentioned, which I should point out is a clear case you you covering your ass - "I like the PHI because it helps the agent should a contestable claim occur (no he said-she said)"

Im not CMA at all, look, if you are so worried about the time it takes for a PHI, then write a company that doesnt require one, good grief.

I'm all for the PHIs, both for the CYA and immediate decision aspects.

But between giving basic info, verification with the insured, disclosures and then questions, it would be hard to accomplish in anything less than 10 minutes.

I'm not picking on you or Foresters in this. It just takes so much time to go through that without going so fast the people get lost and confused.

Dude, I wrote 2 policies today, both had a phi and neither of them took more than 8 minutes from the time they answered the phone till the time they gave me the decision. 2 different companies and neither was Foresters.

A rated companies...My E and O doesn't encourage me to sell B ++ rated companies... My clients usually like hearing A rating, even though it may be a dollar or two a month...Just my personal preference, and most my clients agree...Easy to replace companies like these

Here we go, it's debate time, in the red corner, we have the B+++++++++ rated Company with lower premiums and in the blue corner we have the A rated company with higher premiums, which company will win?
