Why Are So Many Agents Lazy?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but FE falls into the "Life Insurance" category. I sell FE. And besides, the topic of this thread is "Why are so many agents lazy?" You don't have to agree with me, but I am allowed to give my opinion.

Because it's in the FE sub forum. And coming from a captive financial planning company to FE, it is a totally different beast.

That's what I'm talking about. If you write life insurance, "when you come across it". You have no idea if the FE market and the beautiful simplicity it offers an agent.

Now my challenge to the rest of the board is to use the word beautiful and FE in the same sentence.

When selling FE you often run across beautiful people(JD's people), and sit in cat piss while picking fleas off of your ankles.:twitchy:

This is in the FE forum and you obviously have no clue about FE. But, I agree that you are entitled to your opinion.

But Iasked the questions I asked to see how much weight to give your opinion and now I know.

Nancy, you have to show your 1099,oh wait, that is LH. You have to show your personal production (isn't that like 1090) or you can only ask questions, not post.

No FE is not life insurance. Well, OK, it is except when talking about it. Then it is the "FE market" but only if not done by phone or Internet. Oh and only if done in hollers and ghettos. Oh, oh and they have to be to poor to afford it. And financially stupid. Then you have to be blessed.

Just add "I am not an FE agent" then everyone knows to discount your information. Remember they are not Life Insurance agents the are FE agents they are a sub set. No correlation to anything Life Insurance.

Yeah, I should run over to the P&C forum and give advice on things that I know nothing about. It's all good as long as I add in there that I'm not a P&C agent. Same for the annuities forum. Need to get over there and give adive. I don't know anything about those either.

Which part of her post was wrong?

""Agents fail in this business for 3 main reasons:

1) Bad Work Ethic. Bad time management and lack of productivity is the biggest reason people fail. I don't think this can be taught. You either have it or you don't. This is the LAZY factor!

2) Too much outside interference. If you had a regular 9-5 you wouldn't miss work very often for kids being sick, someone needing a ride, family in town, etc, etc. You'd get fired. Treat being an agent the same way because otherwise the flexibility kills you.

3) Bad money management. Don't save for taxes and don't plan for the ups and downs. The agent has a $20,000 month and they start living like that's a guarantee every month. Then they make $1,500 the next month and they're in deep ****. I've seen agent make 6-figures and still fall out of the business because of this. ""

Seems Like good, while obvious to many, comments. She is a new poster. I have seen versions of her comments many times on this forum.
