Bcbs wait time

Another day of waiting, this is not only pissing off the agents but it's pissing off the clients.
Some disconcerting news from them today. President Obama really goofed things up with his latest "Keep Your Plan" executive order.
 
I have preferred broker access with Wellpoint, my hold is avg about 45min.

Humana, i will not even try to call billing.


On the group side i purposely did not write any new 1-1 business. I knew there was no way they would be able to process them. I am still hesitate to write 2-1 and I have a case coming up.

Right now I am spending about 2 hours a day on hold.
 
After 5 years of freedom from the Evil Empire, I decided to get licensed with them again. Reason being, I can sell their IFP and Med Supps, which are very popular in the SE corner of my county in Decatur.

I was able to keep my same agent number from 5 years ago. The only problem was, Agent Connect had my old email and address, and I wanted it changed. After three emails to tech support, and three calls into broker services, it still was not done.

Therefore, I sent the following email to broker support:

I only get to see the article for about 10 seconds before the Trib wants some cash, but from what I can tell-YES.

Its bad. I'm averaging 3 hours when I call. If I do the 7:59am thing, I usually can get in 45 minutes.

If you went to an ACA policy, even if the old policy was termed, you were double drafted on 1/1. And when the double draft went through, it automatically created another policy.

ID cards are wrong. Cards issued in November for the 12/1 effective date had an effective date of 1/1.

ID cards issued in December have an extra "zero". So claims are rejecting at both providers and pharmacies.

12/1 and 1/1 group changes are still not implemented. (And mine were submitted by 11/1)

UHC sat it out. Humana, Aetna and Cigna rates weren't pretty. Its all Blues. And they weren't ready.
