New Agent needs help with E&O

All of the life companies that I work for don't required E and O Insurance. I use to pay between $500 to $1,000 a year for it. But I think it's a waste of money.

Working for companies that don't require E&O??? Goodness!!! For whom are you writing? Can't be any A or A+ carriers, can it???

E&O for Less -$495 for Life Agents
Here the E&O insurance allows agents to pay a premium equal to the risk they pose to the insurer. Since this errors and omissions insurance is for low-risk agents and advisors the premium is substantially lower

I'd stay far away from them. I've heard they spam a lot of internet forums with garbage posts and don't contribute anything worthwhile.

Buyer beware!

seems like every year we all go shopping during renewal time for E&O.

Interesting stuff that different companies have different renewal dates with these Carriers...like UHC renews in Sept and New Era in December, and etc.

BTW...New Era Life thru Napa E&O is like $475 for the year. You would pay a pro-rated premium last quarter and annual would start in December. $1mil/1mil

You can get a p&c and L&H e&o combined policy with 1mil/1mil limit through United States Liability Insurance Company for around $1800 a year as a new agent their defense cost ded is $5000. They are a good company and issue the policies quickly.

Most you guys must be LH agents only. The premiums mentioned above have that smell.
